1 goal, 1 assist, 4 chances created 80% pass accuracy: Key Man Utd man superb vs Stoke

Manchester United got back to winning ways in the Premier League last night, with Louis van Gaal’s side putting in one of their more convincing performances of the season. A stunning 3-0 victory at home to Mark Hughes’ Stoke City.

Wayne Rooney once again led the line and put in an excellent performance, scoring his seventh goal in seven games over the last month or so, but his all-round performance was equally as pleasing.

He held the ball up superbly for his teammates, against a Stoke defence full of power and energy. From minute one he looked lively and urged his side forward at any given opportunity.

On the night he scored the one goal, grabbed one fantastic assist and created four goalscoring opportunities, as well as an impressive 80% pass completion.

If he keeps up this form then we could well start soaring up the table, and Louis van Gaal will be putting plenty of faith in his club captain from here on out, no doubt.
