2016/17 Confirmed Starting XI: Chelsea FC vs Manchester United – Lingard starts

Manchester United Football Club take on Chelsea FC this afternoon, in a game that sees Jose Mourinho return to Stamford Bridge as an opposing manager of a Premier League team. The game itself should be an interesting prospect, and United desperately need a win to get back on track in the league.

The team news is in, and as expected, it’s a very similar line-up to the one that took on Liverpool during Monday night football. We’ll likely set up shop to frustrate Chelsea and play on the counter-attack, but lets hope this time we can get out and attack the opposition with slightly more purpose.

Hopefully, Jose can pull one out of the bag, and really show why he is still referred to as the ‘Special One’.

Check out the starting XI here:

De Gea; Valencia, Bailly, Smalling, Blind; Fellaini, Herrera; Lingard, Pogba, Rashford; Ibrahimovic.

Subs: Romero, Darmian, Rojo, Carrick, Mata, Young, Martial.
