2016/17 Player Ratings: Everton 1-1 Manchester United

David de Gea – Made some very nice saves. It’s always tough to stop penalties, so hard to criticise for that. 6/10

Antonio Valencia – An absolute tank. Bombed up and down the right-hand side all day. 6/10

Phil Jones – What a turnaround. Looked shaky at the start but increased in confidence and had a fine afternoon. 8/10

Marcos Rojo – Should have saw red for a horror tackle in the first half. Composed himself and played quite well after that. 5/10

Matteo Darmian – Looks odd playing at left-back being right-footed. It’s not his natural position and that showed at times. 5/10

Michael Carrick – Pulled the strings from deep as per usual. 6/10

Ander Herrera – Lively. Got United going in the right direction which was a positive. Perhaps should’ve scored midway through the second half. 5/10

Paul Pogba – Couldn’t pick out a red shirt at the start of the game. Although he improved, you expect more. 4/10

Henrikh Mkhitaryan – Played well. Made some nice runs and passes, but you still think the best is yet to come. 6/10

Anthony Martial – Looked lively from out on the left. Finally looking back at his best. 6/10

Zlatan Ibrahimovic – Held the ball up well and scored a wonder goal as the first half drew to a close. 7/10

Subs:

Marcus Rashford – Not enough time to mark.

Marouane Fellaini – Gave away a daft penalty which cost United two points.
