2016/17 Player Ratings: Fenerbahce 2-1 Manchester United

David de Gea – Had no chance to stop either goal. That was literally all he had to do. 4/10

Matteo Darmian – Looked lost as the game wore on. Defensively he wasn’t atrocious, but going forward he was poor. 3/10

Daley Blind – His positioning was way off this evening, which is something he usually excels at. Doesn’t have the strength to be a centre-back either. 3/10

Marcos Rojo – Had a tough evening like everyone else on the field. He has to command that back line. 3/10

Luke Shaw – Probably the worst player on the night. Just couldn’t find a teammate. 2/10

Ander Herrera – Ran around like a headless chicken at times. 3/10

Morgan Schneiderlin – Awful. Always looked for the safe option, which more often than not was backwards. 2/10

Paul Pogba – Had to be subbed of in the first half with an injury. 4/10

Anthony Martial – Nice to see him back involved, but you can tell he wasn’t anywhere close to having that match sharpness. 3/10

Marcus Rashford – Couldn’t really influence the game from out on the right. 3/10

Wayne Rooney – Tried to lead from the front. Scored a wonder goal to give United hope but the game was all done. 4/10

Subs:

Zlatan Ibrahimovic – Poor again. Didn’t hold the ball up well at all.

Juan Mata – Tried to drive United forward but the lack of runs in front of him was alarming.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan – Thrown on with 30 minutes left to play at 2-0 down. He wasn’t good.
