2016/17 Player Ratings: Manchester United 4-0 Feyenoord – Rooney stars

Sergio Romero – Made a super save in the first-half to preserve his clean sheet. 6/10

Antonio Valencia – Played well. Defensively he was sound and he bombed forward wherever possible. 6/10

Phil Jones – Very solid once again. Jose really seems to like him, but he has to keep himself fit. 7/10

Daley Blind – Earned a recall and did well. Played some brilliant balls into the forwards. 6/10

Luke Shaw – Nice to see him back involved but didn’t really take his chance. Looked a little off the pace. 5/10

Michael Carrick – The back four protector. Did his job brilliantly. 6/10

Paul Pogba – Top player. His vision is out of this world. Sometimes he looks on a completely different level to his teammates. 8/10

Juan Mata – Scored a well-worked goal and his link-up play was excellent. 7/10

Henrikh Mkhitaryan – This lad looks special. His movement, energy, runs and all-round play is outstanding. What a fantastic night for the Armenian. 8/10

Wayne Rooney – What a performance. His goal was superb and the assist for the second was out of this world. 8/10

Zlatan Ibrahimovic – Held the ball up well but once again his finishing let him down. 6/10

Subs:

Marcus Rashford – In typical fashion, he ran the defence ragged.

Jesse Lingard – Scored a fantastic goal in injury time. Looked sharp.

Memphis Depay – Some nice touches and passes.
