David de Gea – Looked back to his best. Made a couple of really smart saves to preserve his clean sheet. 6/10

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – An absolute brick wall. Nothing was getting past him and his timing of the tackle is just impeccable. 8/10

Victor Lindelof – Looked far more composed. Probably because he has a top-quality defender sitting in alongside him. 7/10

Harry Maguire – Some debut. He put his head on everything, won tackles due to his positioning, strength and sheer willingness to win. Also wasn’t afraid to bark orders at his teammates and get the players back in their defensive shape. Stunning. Man of the Match. 9/10

Luke Shaw – The one area of defence you felt somewhat nervous with. Shaw wasn’t bad, it’s just that sometimes he looks out of position. 5/10

Scott McTominay – Superb. He brings effort and energy to the game and he kept things ticking over well. 7/10

Paul Pogba – Played two outrageous balls for United’s third and fourth goals. He started sluggishly but as the game went on our Frenchman got better and better. 7/10

Andreas Pereira – He was ok. His ball into Anthony Martial for the second was inch-perfect, but at times he looked a little off the pace. 6/10

Jesse Lingard – Busy. Made a couple of nice runs and pressed well. 6/10

Marcus Rashford – Took his penalty brilliantly. Made some great runs and in the second-half, he did a great job defensively. His two goals is the perfect start to his season. 8/10

Anthony Martial – Given the #9 shirt and scored a real poachers goal. He looked confident. 7/10

Subs:

Daniel James – His speed is frightening, and although it looked like he’d took it a little wide and the chance was gone, the Wales international got a debut goal and you could see what it meant to him. 8/10

Mason Greenwood – Not enough time to mark. Good to see him on the field, though.
