4-2-3-1: Manchester United predicted starting XI vs Blackburn – Luke Shaw starts

Manchester United’s attentions turn back to the FA Cup this coming Sunday, when Jose Mourinho takes his Red Devils to face Blackburn Rovers. The former Premier League side have put together a good cup run, but us fans of the Old Trafford club will be desperate for that to end.

The fact that United are still facing off in four competitions makes team selection tough, but I believe Jose Mourinho will rotate somewhat for this one, check out our full predicted starting XI below.

In goal, David de Gea will return, and the whole back four could change. Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo will hold down the centre-back slots, with both Luke Shaw and Timothy Fosu-Mensah coming in for a rare start.

The midfield two of Marouane Fellaini and Ander Herrera will allow some much-needed rest for Paul Pogba. I’ve no doubts that the pair are more than capable of locking down such a key area of the field. Juan Mata will start just in front of them, in a #10 role.

This match would also be a great chance to give Jesse Lingard a start. He hasn’t been handed a place in the XI from the off recently, and this provides him with a good opportunity. Anthony Martial has been in brilliant form and there is no doubts that he will continue on the left. Marcus Rashford should be allowed to lead the line.
