4-2-3-1: Manchester United predicted XI vs Dortmund – Pereira starts

Manchester United Football Club kicked off their pre-season with an excellent victory away at Wigan Athletic, with Jose Mourinho starting how he means to go on. Next up is a potentially tricky fixture against Borussia Dortmund.

The squad is yet to be announced, but we could well see some of the senior players join the tour at this stage – particularly those who exited the European Championships rather early.

In goal we’ll likely see David de Gea, and he’ll have Eric Bailly and Phil Jones in front of him. Hopefully, we’ll get another look at Timothy Fosu-Mensah as the right-back, and Luke Shaw will play on the left-hand side.

Onto the midfield, we have Ander Herrera and Andreas Pereira. The Brazilian looked effective in a deeper role last time out, so a start here could be on the cards.

The front four looks tasty. Marcus Rashford leads the line, with Juan Mata just in-behind him. He’ll have Memphis Depay and Henrikh Mkhitaryan either side.
