4-2-3-1: Manchester United predicted XI vs Feyenoord – Rashford starts

Manchester United’s attentions turn to Thursday night football and the Europa League. Jose Mourinho’s men will be looking to get back to winning ways after a disappointing defeat in the Manchester derby at the weekend, and we’ll likely see a much-changed side.

Jose Mourinho will obviously prioritise the Premier League, and this competition will give those fringe players a chance to impress. Let’s have a look at the probable line-up.

David de Gea will continue in goal, and in at left-back we’ll see Marcos Rojo for the first time this season. Italian Matteo Darmian will also slot in at the right-back slot, with a first start of the season for Chris Smalling likely.

The midfield pair will change completely, with Ander Herrera coming into the line-up after an excellent 45 minutes against City in the second half. Morgan Schneiderlin will partner him.

Anthony Martial can count himself unlucky to have been benched for the derby, but he’ll come back into the mix here, as will Juan Mata. I can see Jose Mourinho playing Jesse Lingard to boost his confidence back up. We’ll also see a first start of the season for Marcus Rashford, who has looked a real threat from off of the bench.
