4-2-3-1: Manchester United XI vs Bournemouth – Varela continues

Manchester United return to Premier League action this weekend, with Louis van Gaal’s side travelling to the newly-promoted Bournemouth, who play some attractive football under Eddie Howe. The gaffer will be hooping for a much-neede three points here, to bolster our position in the top four.

Anthony Martial terrorised the Wolfsburg defence last night, and he simply has to continue as the striker. In behind him is Wayne Rooney who returns from injury, with the pace of Jesse Lingard and Memphis Depay on the wings.

A midfield two of Michael Carrick and Bastian Schweinsteiger doesn’t have much mobility, but it certainly makes up for that with experience and passing ability.

They’ll be backed up by Matteo Darmian and the impressive Guillermo Varela on the flanks, allowing Daley Blind and Chris Smalling to continue their impressive centre-back pairing.
