4-2-3-1: Manchester United XI vs Southampton – Schweinsteiger returns

Manchester United have been on an excellent run since the turn of the year, with Louis van Gaal’s side seemingly finding the winning mentality under the Dutchman. That has largely been down to Wayne Rooney, who has been i superb form.

This weekend another tough assignment awaits, with Louis van Gaal hosting fellow Dutchman Ronald Koeman and his Southampton side.

We shouldn’t see too many changes to the XI, but an injury may keep Ashley Young out of action, with Borthwick-Jackson coming into the line-up. Chris Smalling, Daley Blind and Matteo Darmian will make up the back four.

Bastian Schweinsteiger should be fit enough to return from injury, and replace Marouane Fellaini in the starting XI. Ander Herrera will play in the #10, with Anthony Martial on the right-hand side. Memphis Depay deserves a start on the left, and obviously Wayne Rooney will lead the line.
