Manchester United simply have to bounce back in the Europa League when the competition continues this Thursday, after losing 1-0 in drab fashion away at Feyenoord a couple of weeks ago. Next up, Zorya Luhansk; the Ukrainian cup winners.
Ahead of that game, we’ve tried to decipher the the great mind of Jose Mourinho to try and work out who he’ll select for his starting eleven.
In goal, we have David de Gea. In front of him we’ll likely see Chris Smalling start as he continues to work his way back to full fitness, and alongside him, Timothy Fosu-Mensah should get the nod. On the right-hand side of defence Matteo Darmian will be the best option, with Luke Shaw on the left as he returns from injury.
Jose has the luxury of being able to rest both of his midfielders. Marouane Fellaini and Morgan Schneiderlin can come in, allowing Ander Herrera and Paul Pogba to sit out and freshen up.
The front four is extremely exciting. Wayne Rooney will come back into the side, and the wide spots are occupied by Memphis Depay and Anthony Martial. Marcus Rashford will start as the lone striker.
