4-2-3-1: Potential Man Utd XI under Mourinho – Mkhitaryan & Zlatan start

Manchester United will almost certainly look like a completely different outfit come August, with Jose Mourinho keen to mould the squad in his image. With the European Championships underway, moves at the moment are hard to come by as plenty of targets will be playing for their countries.

We’ve decided to take a look at a potential line-up that could come true when the big kick-off is here, and it looks extremely strong.

David de Gea will obviously get the nod in goal, but he’ll have a different back four in front of him. Chris Smalling will partner the new boy Eric Bailly, with Shaw finally set to return from injury. Fosu-Mensah will play on the right hand side.

The heart of the midfield will contain both Wayne Rooney and Morgan Schneiderlin, who’ll provide the perfect blend of tough tackling and an eye for a pass.

Onto the front four, we have Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford in the wide areas, with Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the #10 role. Zlatan Ibrahimovic will lead the line.
