Manchester United Football Club will certainly have a different look about the line-up next season, with Jose Mourinho hoping to implement his own ideas on the squad. With one signing in Eric Bailly already complete, it could be a busy summer ahead.
So we’ve decided to take an early look at a potential line-up come the big kick-off in August – and it already looks much stronger than Louis van Gaal’s side.
David de Gea gets the nod in goal, with new-boy Eric Bailly and Chris Smalling just in front of him. Luke Shaw will return from injury and hold down the left-back spot, with Matteo Darmian at right-back.
Onto the midfield, which already looks extremely different. Morgan Schneiderlin will play that holding midfielder role alongside Bastian Schweinsteiger.
The front four is where things get exciting. Wayne Rooney will start in-behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who is rumoured to be making a move to Old Trafford come July. Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford will provide plenty of pace from out on the wings.
