4-3-3: How Manchester United could line up against Brighton with Lukaku at striker

Manchester United’s campaign kicked off in the perfect manner; with a hard-fought three points against a spirited Leicester City side.

Next up, Jose Mourinho’s men head South, to take on Brighton & Hove Albion. Chris Hughton’s men managed to survive last term. They’ll be hoping for something similar this time around.

Ahead of the match, let’s take a look at United’s potential starting XI for the game at The Amex:

As per usual, the best goalkeeper in the world will start for United. De Gea was brilliant last weekend. I’ll expect we’ll need more of the same this time around.

Luke Shaw will deservedly continue at left-back following an impressive outing at Old Trafford. Matteo Darmian remains the only fit right-back. Victor Lindelof and Eric Bailly is a centre-back partnership with potential. They should be given every opportunity to blossom.

What I loved about the midfield last time was its energy and willingness to move forward. Andreas Pereira sat at the base, Paul Pogba played just in front alongside new boy Fred. If it isn’t broke, don’t fix it. Let these lads continue to play together and improve.

Romelu Lukaku is back to lead the line, he’ll have Jesse Lingard to his right, and although I feel he should be dropped, Alexis Sanchez will keep his place on the left-flank.
