4-3-3: Manchester United predicted XI vs Sevilla – Pogba starts

Manchester United’s Champions League campaign continues this coming Wednesday, with Jose Mourinho’s men heading to Seville.

The Red Devils will have been happy when the draw was made, but make no mistake, Sevilla are an excellent team, capable of causing any side problems on their day.

With that in mind, we’ve decided to take a look at the likely starting line-up, and it includes a tactical switch to a 4-3-3; something the fans have been calling for recently.

Check out the predicted starting XI here:

David de Gea will undoubtedly have work to do, so he’ll have to put in a top-notch performance if he wants to preserve his clean sheet. Chris Smalling played well at the weekend, so don’t be surprised to see him partner Eric Bailly who could return from injury. Ashley Young will likely start on the left, with Antonio Valencia playing on the right.

Nemanja Matic will need to put in a better display than what we’ve seen recently, but he’s more than capable. Hopefully, Ander Herrera will have recovered from his thigh problem, being fit enough to start, allowing Paul Pogba to play higher up the field.

Choosing the front three was fairly straightforward. Romelu Lukaku will be confident following his two-goal haul against Huddersfield. He’ll have Alexis Sanchez and Anthony Martial to his right and left respectively.
