4-3-3: Manchester United XI vs Everton – Marcos Rojo returns to boost defence

Manchester United head to Merseyside as they go head-to-head with a very competitive Everton team under Roberto Martinez. The Toffees are certain to provide a stern task for Louis van Gaal’s men, who’ll be looking to better the 3-0 defeat in this fixture last year.

The 4-3-3 formation could be used for the first time this season in a tricky game, with plenty of pace available on the counter. Anthony Martial and Memphis Depay will start out wide, spearheaded by club captain Wayne Rooney.

A midfield three of Juan Mata, Michael Carrick and Bastian Schweinsteiger provides the perfect blend of on the ball intelligence, calmness and tough tackling, with a back five rejuvenated by the return of Marcos Rojo in the left-back slot.

Hopefully the side can go to Goodison Park and put in an excellent performance and perhaps come away with three points to really throw their marker down on the Premier League this season.
