Manchester United Football Club return to Premier League action this weekend, with Jose Mourinho’s men hosting Everton.
The game itself could be hugely important for the manager. After losing in midweek to Juventus, his head could well be on the chopping block once again if the Red Devils go on another poor run of form.
Let’s take a look at the likely line-up for the match.
In goal, David de Gea is a shoe-in to play as per usual. In front of him, Victor Lindelof is slowly establishing himself as an excellent centre-half, while Chris Smalling continues to be his reliable self. Luke Shaw plays at left-back, while Ashley Young makes up the back line.
Nemanja Matic was poor on Tuesday night, but there are no other options available with Marouane Fellaini injured. Paul Pogba will obviously start, as will Juan Mata who has been good of late.
The front three all keep their place, once again, due to a lack of options. United’s squad is depleted with injuries at the moment. Romelu Lukaku simply has to do better, but I’m backing him to play well against his former team and start to silence the doubters. Anthony Martial plays on the left, while Marcus Rashford will continue out-of-position on the right.
