Manchester United have been in horrendous form recently, winning just two from seven. That’s not good enough whoever the opponents may be, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has a tough task to get these players back in the right frame of mind.
Games are coming thick and fast and the fixtures aren’t getting any easier. Next up is a tricky away match against Everton. Goodison Park has never been a happy hunting ground, we should expect another struggle this Sunday.
With that in mind, let’s go over our predicted starting line-up for the crunch match on Merseyside.
David de Gea will start in goal and we’ll need to see a more confident man in between the sticks this time. Victor Lindelof and Chris Smalling will start as the now customary centre-back partnership. Luke Shaw is suspended so Marcos Rojo will start at left-back, by default, Ashley Young will shift over to the right.
Scott McTominay has come on leaps and bounds over the last month or so. I’d go as far as saying he has now made the starting job his own. Fred will continue to play in Ander Herrera’s absence, while we need a huge bounce-back performance from Paul Pogba.
Romelu Lukaku was benched for the Barcelona away game. He will come back into the team to play against his former employers. Alexis Sanchez looked lively during his cameo so he deserves to get a start. Marcus Rashford will also play, while a sub-par Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial will drop to the bench.
