Aaron Wan-Bissaka returns to Man United following back injury while on international duty

Manchester United just can’t catch an injury break at the moment… Both Paul Pogba and James Garner have pulled out of international duty due to problems. Now, a third player is on that list…

According to the official website, 21-year-old Aaron Wan-Bissaka has returned to United after suffering from a back issue; despite taking part in England training yesterday.

This is a major defensive injury blow for United, particularly given how well Wan-Bissaka has started the 2019/20 campaign in Red Devils colours.

Unfortunately, Wan-Bissaka was in line for his Three Lions debut, but that’ll no longer happen and he’ll have to wait until the next international break later on in the year.

It is thought that Gareth Southgate won’t call up a replacement for the upcoming qualifiers against Bulgaria and Kosovo.

For Wan-Bissaka, it’s now about resting up and getting fit for United’s home game against Leicester City on Saturday September 14th. The right-back has eleven days and counting – and we’re desperate to have him back for that one.

Hopefully, his return to the AON Training Complex was more a precaution than a serious problem, though given our luck at the moment, I’m not holding my breath!

Get well soon, Aaron!
