The Manchester United and Aaron Wan-Bissaka saga rumbles on… The latest update we covered from the Evening Standard claimed that the Reds ‘expect’ to see a £50million bid for the right-back accepted by Crystal Palace.
Now in an exclusive from The Sun, the Old Trafford club have been given further encouragement in their pursuit of the talented 21-year-old..
Their report claims that Wan-Bissaka has told Palace he wants to complete his ‘dream’ move to Manchester United this summer.
Palace are keen to keep ahold of the Englishman, but that has left the right-back frustrated as he’s ready to seal a massive summer switch.
Although no formal transfer request has been made, The Eagles have been made aware of Wan-Bissaka’s desire to leave – although they’ll continue to play hardball over letting him go.
Basically, I see this as hugely positive for United. Providing Edward Woodward meets Palace’s asking price, this transfer now seems possible.
I don’t see Wan-Bissaka ever submitting a formal transfer request but that may not be needed. If Palace know he wants to leave, they wouldn’t want to keep an unhappy player around – although again I’ll reiterate United must meet their demands.
It all comes down to just how badly Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka, but they better act quick as I don’t see Palace letting both Wan-Bissaka and Wilf Zaha leaving during this window.
