After making his Manchester United Premier League bow at the weekend, Adnan Januzaj’s attention has turned to a different matter. The youngster has to decide whether to choose the Belgium or Albanian national team, and according to the usually reliable Telegraph, Adnan Januzaj will reject the chance to play for Belgium at the upcoming World Cup, and choose Albania.
This decision would surprise many as Belgium are certainly a nation on the rise on the international front, as they possess players including Marouane Fellaini, Vincent Kompany and Eden Hazard. However it is believed that his father wants him to play for Albania, and family comes first over anything, so you’d have to respect that decision.
In fact, Januzaj is available to play for four different countries having been born in Belgium to Kosovar-Albanian parents, and his heritage means he is also eligible to play for either Turkey or Serbia.
Whichever country he decides to represent, he’ll certainly win a lot of caps for them in future.
