Marouane Fellaini’s form has certainly picked up over the last few weeks, with the big Belgian putting in commanding performances against West Ham and Everton in the FA Cup. However, many of the Old Trafford faithful still want him out of the club, and that could happen soon.
Over the January window, AS Roma were reportedly interested in bringing in Fellaini, but no deal was made. Yesterday, the 27-year old fuelled the fire as he was in the stands watching the Serie A side take on Napoli.
Now, his agent has added to that, by suggesting AS Roma could be an option for the future, if United let him leave.
D’Onofrio (Fellaini’s agent) said:“I’m not sure why he was in Rome, I haven’t had contacts with Roma but they are a possibility for the future.”
“I can’t say if Manchester is willing to let him go but these days anything can happen.” He told LaRoma24, sourced by English journalist David Amoyal.
At the end of the day, for as long as he’s in Manchester, Fellaini will continue to be much-maligned by the fans through no fault of his own really. If Manchester United can get a decent fee for him, the correct business decision may be to take that offer and move him on for his own good.
