Manchester United’s season is well underway and the transfer window is now shut. One player who isn’t happy with the current situation at the club is Sam Johnstone. His agent has hit out at Louis van Gaal and Manchester United, who are ‘holding back’ the 22-year old.
“Sam just wants to play football but Manchester United are holding him back and not even playing him.”
“He is a young goalkeeper and it is time for him to play regularly. If that is not at Manchester United, then it has to be elsewhere.” Johnstone’s agent said.
This sounds like Sam Johnstone isn’t really happy with the situation. He came so close to starting Manchester United’s season opener against Spurs after a solid pre-season, but Louis van Gaal opted for the more experienced Sergio Romero instead.
Hopefully a loan move can happen, and preferably to a club playing in the Championship or higher. It’d be a good experience for Sam and he can get that much-needed game-time.
