Alexis Sanchez has completed his Manchester United medical, and his move to Old Trafford is all-but complete, according to the Manchester Evening News.
Apparently, the Chile star underwent his medical tests on Sunday afternoon, following a flight up North after everything had been agreed. Now, it seems as though it’s just a waiting game, as we hope United will be officially confirming the signing any day now.
Signing Sanchez is a huge boost for not only the fans, but the United dressing room. It’ll give the players a lift in confidence, knowing that they’ve just added one of the best attackers in the country.
It’s now looking extremely likely that the 29-year-old will make his debut for United against Yeovil Town in the FA Cup on Friday night, so we don’t actually have that long to wait before we get to see our new man in action.
He comes in for criticism aplenty when things aren’t going well, but huge credit has to go to Edward Woodward for pulling this one off. It wouldn’t have been easy, but he’s gone about business quietly and brought a spectacular footballer to Manchester United.
