Alexis Sanchez is a Manchester United player. How good does that sound? Jose Mourinho has pulled off arguably the biggest signing this season, with the Red Devils adding sublime quality to the playing squad.
The 29-year-old attacker leaves Arsenal to make the switch to Old Trafford, and no doubt Sanchez cannot wait to get up and running – as he looks to write his own piece of Manchester United history.
Before that though comes the formality of his official interview, and it certainly makes for pleasant reading. Not only does Sanchez say that he’s always wanted to come here, and has talked to Sir Alex Ferguson about it previously, but his hairs stood up on end as he joins the biggest club in England.
Sanchez said: “I looked at the badge and my hairs just stood up on end because it’s a powerful club and the biggest in England.”
We’re lucky to have such a wonderfully gifted footballer on our books, and it’s going to be pretty special watching him play every single weekend. The hunger and desire is there for all to see, and I fully expect him to give his absolute all as he looks to try and deliver some major trophies; because that’s exactly why he moved here.
