Ander Herrera will not face any action from the Football Association, after apparently spitting on the Manchester City crest as he left the field.
That’s according to Sky Sports News, who also claim that a United spokesperson says Herrera is ‘mortified’ at the fact that people think he’d do something like that deliberately.
If you haven’t seen the video, you can check it out below, but in all honesty, we all know that Herrera is a feisty character on the field, but the consummate professional off it. There is absolutely no way that he’d do something like that on purpose, it’s just not in his nature.

This is the problem with social media nowadays, absolutely every little thing is picked upon and critiqued. Honestly, if this happens five or ten years ago, it’s not even a conversation because it’d just be accepted for what it is.
At the end of the day United came out on top in a huge match in which Herrera was a key figure in. Surely the media should be talking about his excellent individual performance rather than something which is nothing but a non-story…
