Manchester United’s players have a well-documented relationship off the field, with clusters of stars going out and enjoying the sights this city has to offer on a regular basis. Perhaps the most popular trio is that of David de Gea, Ander Herrera and Juan Mata.
The duo of Ander Herrera and David de Gea have grown up playing football together with Spain’s youth sides, and their bromance was clear as soon as they were reunited at Old Trafford a few years ago.
Both of them were involved in an interview with ESPN’s Unscriptd channel earlier in the week, and Ander Herrera gave us a rather hilarious reason as to why the pair don’t share a room when on tours and away days.
“I couldn’t share a room with David because he’s always singing. He’s always playing horrible music.” Herrera is quoted as saying.
“He likes to play very, very old music from Spain. Sometimes I tell him that he looks like my grandad.”
“That’s what I try to be as far away as possible when he’s playing music. I have to say honestly that we are very good friends but I cannot share a room with him, 100 per cent.”
Herrera joked that David de Gea’s music style isn’t the best, and he doesn’t have a great voice either. He added that he plays old music that his grandad would listen to, and although they are good mates, he cannot share a room with him.
This just goes to show how tight-knit of a group that Spanish trio are, and they are clearly loving every minute of being together at Manchester United Football Club.
