Ander Herrera sends message to fans after helping United rescue a point against Liverpool

Manchester United Football Club found themselves 1-0 down at half-time against the fiercest of enemies yesterday, after Paul Pogba’s moment of madness gave them a penalty. However, under Jose Mourinho, the Red Devils are a different animal and they didn’t wilt.

The side kept fighting, and eventually Zlatan Ibrahimovic dragged them level as he forced the ball over the line to rescue a deserved point. My Man of the Match

My Man of the Match on the day was Ander Herrera, who tirelessly ran the whole length of the pitch throughout, and tried to push his teammates forward at all times. He probably even saved a point late on, after a cynical pull-back on Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino; taking a booking for the team which was the right thing to do.

Shortly after the game, he took to Twitter to express the notion that Manchester United never give up, as well as admitting it was a shame that we couldn’t get the three points.

Check out Ander’s tweet here:

Going forward, Ander Herrera has to keep starting in every match. He’s fast becoming one of our most important players, and his passion and pride to wear that Manchester United jersey really does shine through. What a player.
