Manchester United fans have been calling for Ander Herrera to start a game since the beginning of the season, and it looks as though they are about to get their wish. According to the Manchester Evening News, the Spaniard is set for his first start of the season tonight against Club Brugge.
Louis van Gaal was asked about the midfielder in his press conference yesterday and admitted that he hadn’t started as he has to rotate his squad, but it looks like we’re going to see him in action in Belgium this evening.
Herrera was one of the biggest threats for United last season. He linked up with his Spanish compatriot Juan Mata superbly and he looked a real menace when in the mood – he also scored one of the goals of the season away at Yeovil in the FA Cup with a stunning strike.
He’ll bring that mobility to the midfield which has been lacking recently, and his passion for the crest on the chest is second to none.
