Ander Herrera’s injury not as bad as first feared

Manchester United’s main man in the midfield, Ander Herrera, fractured a rib in United’s 2-1 victory over West Ham last weekend. The 25-year old was expected to be out for at least a ‘few weeks’ according to Manchester United’s Twitter page. However, it looks like the injury isn’t as bad as first feared.

According to the Daily Mail, Herrera may only miss one Manchester United game, and that would be the game against Everton this coming Sunday. The United club physio’s are trying to get Herrera ready for the West Brom game – which is the first game back after the international break.

The bad news for Herrera is that due to his recent form, he was due to get called up into Vicente Del Bosque’s Spain squad for his first cap. However as gutting as that may be, he needs to keep working hard to regain fitness.

How huge of a miss will Herrera be this weekend? Leave your thoughts in the comment box below.
