Ander Herrera’s move to Manchester United hits technical problem

Ander Herrera was widely expected to be announced as a Manchester United player yesterday, however the move has hit a minor technical problem, according to the Bilbao paper that broke the story earlier in the week.

After what happened with Herrera last year, this obviously does make you worry slightly. There is apparently problems with the paperwork, and the Spanish league won’t let the move go ahead until this problem is fixed. If resolved, the deal could be announced as early as Friday, but it wouldn’t surprise me if Bilbao are delaying the move going through because Herrera’s release clause rises on the 1st July.

I’d be very surprised if this deal collapses now, as Herrera and his family are in Manchester, and have already been given a tour of Carrington; which obviously indicates United are pretty certain they have their man.

Ed Woodward deserves some praise for this deal, as he kept it under wraps perfectly, and seems it have got the deal done much quicker then in previous transfer windows.

What number would you give Herrera? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.

All those fracas was expected in United pursuit of players. United cannot sign a player without problems stopping the move. Herrera is not the first one. We are used. See teams like Man City, Chelsea, they sign players without any problems that am hearing from Man United. So absurd!!!!
