Manchester United fans watched David de Gea grow into one of the best keepers in the world over the past two years, with Anders Lindegaard rarely used, until it was time for domestic cup action. However with David de Gea’s finger injury, Anders will get his chance to shine on the biggest stage, according to The Telegraph.
The match against Arsenal is set to be Lindegaard’s first start for over six months in a competitive game. The extent of David de Gea’s injury is still unclear, with some portions of the media quoting a four week layoff, whereas others are suggesting he’s currently 50/50 to make the crunch game against Arsene Wenger’s men.
Victor Valdes could also be another option, with the experienced Spaniard still training at the club as he has an excellent friendship with Louis van Gaal.
