Angel di Maria must hand in transfer request if he wants to leave Man Utd

Manchester United’s pre-season tour of the United States of America is well underway, as Louis van Gaal puts his squad through their paces ahead of an eagerly anticipated Premier League season that you feel the club will challenge in.

Edward Woodward has certainly made the right signings alongside the manager, and he has also let the right players leave Old Trafford.

One player who’s future is up in the air at the moment is Angel di Maria, and according to the Mail on Sunday, if he wants to leave Manchester United this summer he will be forced to hand in an official transfer request.

That means Manchester United clearly want to keep hold of the 27-year old Argentine, and are forcing his hand if he wants to quit the club after just twelve months here.

I’d love him to stay for another season at the very least. We all know exactly what he is capable of when his tail is up, and it’d be silly to sell him – particularly for less money than what we lumped out to Real Madrid to bring him here.
