Angel di Maria won’t feature against Southampton due to injury

Manchester United won again last night, making it four victories in a row over in the Premier League. Louis van Gaal’s men are looking to consolidate their grip on a spot in the top four this season, and they are certainly on track to do so, despite a whole host of injuries running through the first-team at the moment.

Angel di Maria is one of the latest casualties, and Louis van Gaal has confirmed that he doesn’t expect the Argentine to feature against Southampton next Monday night due to a hamstring tear.

Its crazy how many injuries we’ve had this year, and whether or not thats down to bad luck alone is becoming questionable. Wayne Rooney missed the game last night due to a freak accident, and our injury record is becoming more and more worrying with each passing week.

With Ander Herrera finding some form, and the probability of Wayne Rooney returning, I’m not quite sure Angel di Maria should start the game anyway if we’re basing this on recent performances.

How desperate are we for Di Maria to return vs Liverpool? Leave your thoughts in the comment box below.
