Well well well, everything is seemingly coming up smelling of roses for Manchester United and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at the moment.
On the pitch, the Red Devils have been brilliant. Now, attentions turn to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League. Off the field, Neymar has already been ruled out with an injury, now, according to the BBC, Edinson Cavani may also miss the game…
The 31-year-old injured a tendon in his last outing against Bordeaux over the weekend with the Paris giants keeping an eye on his progress before the clash at Old Trafford this coming Tuesday.
With Neymar out and Cavani likely to be missing, it’s all on the Red Devils stopping Kylian Mbappe. The superstar Frenchman has been in stunning form since his breakout at the World Cup and no doubt his pace will cause us all sorts of problems; particularly on the counter-attack.
Hopefully, Solskjaer and his coaching staff can devise up a plan to stop Mbappe running at our defence. Perhaps we’ll see an Ander Herrera man-markig job, or don’t be surprised to see Mbappe doubled up on from time-to-time.
It’s certainly going to be intriguing to see how this one plays out, but United definitely go into this one feeling hugely confident.
