Manchester United just cannot catch a break at the moment as pressure continues to mount on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The Red Devils are winless in their last three, with Jose Mourinho and Tottenham Hotspur visiting the Theatre of Dreams later – for what promises to be an intriguing battle.
Ahead of the game, though, United have been dealt an injury blow, with 23-year-old star Anthony Martial set to miss the game through injury. That’s according to Sky Sports News, who ran the story last night.
Apparently, the France forward is struggling to overcome a muscular problem after being substituted after 82 minutes of the Red Devils’ game against Aston Villa on Sunday.
With little time for rest in between the two fixtures, it’s no surprise to see Martial miss this one.
Although the extent of the injury isn’t known, losing Martial for any prolonged period would be a massive blow. Although his performances have been sub-par over the last two Premier League games, we know exactly just how good he can be when on song.
I’d like to think it’s nothing major and Martial is back for the derby, but now Solskjaer has a decision to make in terms of replacement. Does he stick with the formation and give Mason Greenwood a real run in the side? Or does he change things up and move to a back three…
