Arsenal has joined Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign winger Malcolm, according to the Daily Mail.
The 20-year-old has been playing predominantly as a right-sided attacker for Bordeaux, but he can play on either flank if needed – which could be why Arsene Wenger has shown an interest, with Alexis Sanchez yet to sign a new deal.
Apparently, United have been following Malcolm since last year, with the Ligue 1 club valuing their speedy winger at £45million.
I think the fact that United, Spurs and Arsenal are keen on him tells you everything you need to know about his talents. He’s clearly sought after by some of the world’s top clubs.
Looking directly at United, the Red Devils have been crying out for a regular right-winger for years. They’ve tried plenty of players out there, but not one of them has managed to seal that position in the team.
A move for Malcolm certainly makes a whole lot of sense, but it’ll be tough to fight off competition from both North London sides. With that said, I’d welcome a move, and hopefully, it can be done in January rather than having to wait until the summer.
