Manchester United are yet to make any real impression on the summer transfer window, but that may be about to change. Reports recently have linked both United and City with a move to sign AS Monaco star, Fabinho.
The brilliant Brazilian was part of the team that knocked City out of the Champions League at the quarter-final stage, whilst winning their first Ligue 1 title in quite a few years.
Now it looks as though he could well be on the move, that’s according to French journalist Alexis Merlino, as per City website, City Watch.
🚨Autre info que j'ai eu : Fabinho se rapproche de Manchester Utd, il est actuellement en vacances et sera bientot la-bas, on parle de 40-45M

The fee being quoted by Merlino is 40-45million, presumably in Euros. In pounds, that equates to roughly £35-£40million which with all things considered, honestly isn’t that bad. Fabinho, who is currently on holiday, is expected to arrive in Manchester in the not too distant future to complete a move.
Fabinho is versatile. He began life as a right-back but after being converted to a defensive midfielder by Leonardo Jardim, the Brazilian simply hasn’t looked back.
This is a man who is just 23 years old and is already one of the best in the world in his position. I think this could turn out to be the best business of the summer if Edward Woodward and Mourinho can pull it off, as we’ve been craving a mobile holding midfielder for years. Imagine him in a three alongside Ander Herrera and Paul Pogba? That’s pretty exciting if you ask me.
