Aston Villa are hoping to seal a loan deal for Manchester United’s Axel Tuanzebe, according to the Daily Mail.
Apparently, a number of clubs have been chasing the young Mancunian’s signature, with Villa leading the charge as they try to push a deal through in time for the weekend.
The 20-year-old is clearly liked by Jose Mourinho, but the defensive third is an area in which United have options aplenty, meaning chances in the first-team had been limited.
At this point in time, a short-term move away certainly seems to be the correct move to make. He needs the competitive game-time at this integral stage in his career, and Villa would be an excellent platform to showcase his talents.
Tuanzebe is an extremely talented young man, and I have full faith in him to eventually prove his worth at Old Trafford. Whether that be as a centre-half or a right-back remains to be seen, but he has the potential to go all the way in this game.
Hopefully, he’ll go somewhere, make an excellent impression and come back to United hungry, with a point to prove.
