It doesn’t get much easier for the reds after last week’s last-gasp equaliser against Chelsea, United have to travel down the road to the Ethiad Stadium to face their local rivals Manchester City. Good news for the reds is that Wayne Rooney returns to the team after his 3 match suspension. However bad news is that Colombian striker Radamel Falcao will miss the first Manchester Derby of the season.

United face the former Wimbledon men in the 2nd round of the Capital One Cup. This is the first time United have been in the 2nd round of the Capital One Cup since 1995 where they faced third tier side York City. Let’s hope that the result is better this time round rather than then as York City beat the reds 3-0 at Old Trafford in the first leg.
United’s season continues after their shock defeat against Swansea, the reds have to bounce back against Gus Poyet’s Sunderland. Since the 2-1 defeat to Swansea, United fans have been asking questions of the board and in my opinion rightly so. The Glazers and Ed Woodward responded to the grief they have received by signing energetic centre-back Marcos Rojo from Sporting.
