What a game it was today. United struggled for 65 -odd minutes, and even then we never really got going. We did create chances, but ultimately we have to thank our lucky stars to have gotten away from there with a point.

Luis Nani; We’ll miss him more than we think

Today marks the day Manchester United announce the signing of Marcos Rojo. A promising Argentine central defender who will no doubt bolster our defence. At 24, the young defender still has time on his side, and in my opinion is a great signing for Manchester United. That being said, I still hope there are more to come.

Manchester United’s opening day defeat vs Swansea; What went wrong?

I just turned off my telly after watching Chelsea beat Burnley by three goals to one on their return to the Premier League, and Cesc Fabregas was instrumental. The game at Turf Moor concluded the opening weekend of the new season. All in all, a bad opening weekend for United and all concerned.

Manchester United improved, but lets not get carried away

Well, well well, that went smoothly didn’t it?! In my earlier blog yesterday I said I stopped being confident. I was worried that I had jinxed it. As it turns out though, I needn’t have worried. United went through in impressive fashion and with a great display of determination and vigour, not to mention quality, can deservedly be counted amongst the best 8 teams in Europe. And that feels very good.

Once upon a (happier) time, I used to play a game. I used to try to predict Fergie’s starting XI. Two hours before kickoff I would write down the 11 players I thought were going to play in whatever game United were about to participate in.
