Match Report: Manchester City 1-0 Manchester United

Another disappointing derby for United fans. The game ended in a 1-0 defeat at the home of our bitter rivals. On another day, and with 10 men, United could have easily come away with a point or even three but it wasn’t to be. It was a much better performance than recent derbies. My man of the match would go to Luke Shaw who was superb at the back.

The first Premier League game of the season for Van Gaal and Manchester United, ended in a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Swansea City. Wayne Rooney scored the only goal for United, in a pretty terrible game. We started with the 3-5-2 formation, but changed to 4-4-2 at half time as the 3-5-2 was really not working at all. Tyler Blackett, Jesse Lingard, and Ander Herrera all made their first starts for United too.
