Another disappointing derby for United fans. The game ended in a 1-0 defeat at the home of our bitter rivals. On another day, and with 10 men, United could have easily come away with a point or even three but it wasn’t to be. It was a much better performance than recent derbies. My man of the match would go to Luke Shaw who was superb at the back.

Manchester United’s sixth game of the season ended in a 2-1 victory against West Ham with Wayne Rooney and Robin Van Persie scoring for home side. 19-Year old Paddy McNair made his debut today, as did new signing Luke Shaw with David de Gea making his 100th Premier League appearance.
It was United’s first game after the international break and it was hugely anticipated by all the fans, as everyone hoped to see the new man Radamel Falcao. Finally United produced a fantastic performance, and came out comfortable winners, winning 4-0 with Angel Di Maria, Ander Herrera, Wayne Rooney and Juan Mata scoring the goals.
New record signing Angel Di Maria made his debut today as United looked for their first 3 points of the season, but unfortunately that wasn’t the case. The game ended 0-0, with United still looking rather poor. David De Gea and Jonny Evans (surprisingly) were the only survivors from the midweek thrashing to MK Dons, Di Maria started for his debut.

A truly humiliating performance from Manchester United ended in a 4-0 defeat to MK Don, seeing United bow out in the second round. There was wholesale changes from the 1-1 draw with Sunderland, with only De Gea keeping his place. There was debuts for Saidy Janko, and Reece James, and also a start for Nick Powell and Marnick Vermijl. All four goals were given to them on a plate after United continued to lose the ball.
The first away game of the season for United ended in a 1-1 draw with Juan Mata scoring the goal for United. An injury hit side massively struggled against Sunderland, Cleverley was partnering Fletcher in a poor midfield, and Robin Van Persie returned, lacking fitness. It was really hard viewing for United fans throughout a poor 90 minutes.
The first Premier League game of the season for Van Gaal and Manchester United, ended in a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Swansea City. Wayne Rooney scored the only goal for United, in a pretty terrible game. We started with the 3-5-2 formation, but changed to 4-4-2 at half time as the 3-5-2 was really not working at all. Tyler Blackett, Jesse Lingard, and Ander Herrera all made their first starts for United too.

It was United’s final chance to get used to the new formation before the season opener against Swansea on Saturday. Darren Fletcher and Marouane Fellaini scored the goals for United.
