Bastian Schweinsteiger ‘on verge’ of becoming Man Utd’s second summer signing

Manchester United are closing in on their second summer signing, but its not who many expected it to be. The links with Morgan Schneiderlin seem genuine, but according to The Telegraph, Bastian Schweinsteiger will be Louis van Gaal’s second summer signing.

Schweinsteiger would give our midfield a much-needed boost, and if we can sign both him and Schneiderlin then our central area will be completely transformed.

The Bayern Munich man is growing frustrated at life in his hometown, and isn’t happy with the amount of game time he has been getting in Bavaria under Pep Guardiola.

Louis van Gaal and the 31-year old have worked together previously, and their working relationship is obviously good enough for it to tempt the German international into leaving his beloved Bayern to come to Old Trafford.

Would Schweinsteiger be a good signing? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
