Manchester United are yet to make a signing during the summer transfer window, with Jose Mourinho looking to strengthen his playing squad ahead of the new campaign. One man, the club have been looking at is Ivan Perisic, and now we have another update on that front.
It comes from the BBC, and they confirm that United are interested in the Croatian, in fact, Inter and the Red Devils have been talking about the possibility of a transfer – bu no deal is in place yet.
That is because Milan are managerless right now, although Luciano Spalletti is apparently to be named their new boss next week. One of his first orders of business will be sorting out Perisic’s future, so it is unlikely we’ll hear anything concrete until that point at the very least.
At 28, Perisic would bring in experience to the team, as well as fitting the Jose Mourinho mould down to a tee. He’s quick, skilful and a brilliant crosser of the ball.
Last season, nobody in our current squad nailed down that left-back slot, so this provides him with an excellent opportunity to make that place in the team his own – that’s providing a deal happens of course.
