Betting Tips: QPR vs. United

United take on Premier League strugglers QPR this weekend in a game between the table toppers and the side sitting bottom. We’re here to give you a few tips on the big game, and you can even try your hand at betting on other sports, including betting on the Cheltenham Festival which takes place next month.

Match Result

As expected, United are odds on to come away from Loftus Road with all three points, we are a best price of 3/5 on with Bet Victor as opposed to 1/2 with most leading bookmakers.

United should come away with the victory although I think the game will be tighter than most people think, the pitch at QPR is a tight one and their aim will be to rush us on the ball and try to get in our faces early on.

United are best priced at 15/2 with Ladbrokes to come away with a 1-0 win, and with Bet Victor at 8/1 to come away with a 2-0 win. The game at Old Trafford earlier on in the season ended 3-1 to United, and if you fancy the same scoreline again bookies will offer you odds of around 14/1 for that.

First goalscorer

Our top scorer in the league this season is Robin van Persie with 19 goals, and he’s favourite to net first tomorrow, odds of 11/4 are offered if you fancy him to carry on his good scoring form.

Nani might be worth a punt for first goal after his fine display against Reading on Monday night. He fetches in odds of 10/1 to bag the first goal which certainly represents decent value.

United have been scoring a lot of goals from set pieces recently, and both Evra and Jonny Evans are having their best seasons in terms of goals, they both come in at a best price of 33/1 so it might be worth splitting your money amongst the two.

Our tips

We fancy United to win but we also expect QPR to score, we recommend going for either a 2-1 or a 3-1 United win, both come in at odds of 17/2 and 14/1 respectively.

Although the odds aren’t big, Van Persie to find the net at anytime is priced at 8/13, the Dutchman was rested for the FA Cup tie last weekend so more than likely he’ll be starting.
