Manchester United and Manchester City lock horns for the final meeting between the pair this season tomorrow, in a match that could well prove to be the deciding factor in the top four race. The game itself will be intriguing, with the Red Devils in good form, whilst our opponents were dumped out of the FA Cup at the weekend.
During that cup match, David Silva had to be subbed off with an apparent injury. Now the Daily Mail have confirmed that the clever little Spaniard is a major doubt to play at The Etihad tomorrow.
Look, we’ve all seen first-hand just how devastating a fully fit Silva can be. He’s the kind of footballer who can prise open the defence with one swing of either boot, and without him, they’ll find the match a whole lot tougher which is obviously good for our chances.
In terms of a replacement, it could mean a rare start for Fabian Delph with Kevin de Bruyne pushing further up the pitch. If I were Marouane Fellaini and Ander Herrera, I’d be delighted to see Delph in the game.
Unfortunately, it’s not all good news for us. Sergio Aguero is expected to be fit, and we could well see Gabriel Jesus back involved with the squad after injury.
