Big name missing from Man United’s travelling squad to take on AFC Bournemouth

Manchester United play in the Premier League’s early kick-off tomorrow, with Jose Mourinho’s men heading South to take on an in-form AFC Bournemouth team.

The Red Devils were better last time out against Everton and no doubt they’ll be looking to continue with a similar sort of performance this time, however, it’s not going to be an easy match.

Things could have potentially been made harder (or easier depending on which way you look at it), as the Manchester Evening News have revealed the travelling squad; and there is no Romelu Lukaku.

Our 25-year-old striker was benched last time out, and he came on and didn’t really make an impact off the substitutes bench. Now, it looks as though Lukaku is either injured or dropped from the squad completely; which could be a real concern.

There was some positive news, however, as both Jesse Lingard and Alexis Sanchez have returned to the squad. Honestly, I hope the pair play, with the latter starting as the striker while Lingard could do an excellent job over on the right-wing. We’ve badly missed his movement and intelligence, so having him back is a huge boost.

Hopefully, United can go out there and secure a much-needed three point as they look to push on up the table.
