Manchester United are on the verge of signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Borussia Dortmund. The news has recently been broken by the official Twitter feed of the German club, as Jose Mourinho closes in on his third Old Trafford signing.
The Armenian attacker had just twelve months left to run on his current contract, which meant that Borussia Dortmund’s hand became somewhat forced.
It meant that the Bundesliga club either sold him for a reduced fee during this transfer window, or held onto an unhappy player for another year and lost him on a free transfer.
Thankfully, Manchester United have pushed this transfer through as quickly as possible, and now the 27-year-old is all set to become a Red Devil subject to a medical.

What a brilliant piece of business by Jose Mourinho. Now, Manchester United will be looking to press on with other transfers, ahead of the new campaign getting underway in six weeks time.
