David Beckham’s eldest son, Brooklyn Beckham, could be given the chance to join Manchester United’s prestigious youth academy according to the usually reliable Guardian. United’s coaching staff have been monitoring the 14-year old, and even invited him to train with the club. What a story it’d be if he could follow in his fathers footsteps.
David took him to United’s training ground on Thursday to take part in a session with his respective age group, and more visits to Carrington are planned. Brooklyn used to be in the academy of his fathers other former side, LA Galaxy.
Senior Beckham won it all at United, including six Premier League’s, two FA Cups and one Champions League trophy, amassing 400 appearances in that time.
It is understood that Brooklyn is keen to mirror his father and play for United, and some bookmakers are offering 12/1 that the youngster plays for the England national team one day. These low odds suggest that he could well have a future at the top level.
